BCA implemented this commitment by becoming a distribution partner for the retail government bonds (ORI) 019. The online purchase of ORI019, either through KlikBCA or the Wealth Management (Welma) app from BCA, has recorded an outstanding result, with Rp4.4 trillion in sales.
Senior Executive of Vice President Wealth Management of BCA Christine Setyabudhi said that until the closing (18/02), the sales of ORI019 at BCA reached nearly Rp4.4 trillion, of which 48% order transactions were made through Welma. The number of investors who purchased ORI019 at BCA was recorded at more than 12,500 investors.
Based on the profile, ORI019 buyers at BCA come from all professions, from employees, entrepreneurs, to students and housewives. We noted that ORI019 was also in great demand among millennials and geographically covers almost most areas in Indonesia.
Christine added, “We observe that Indonesia’s retail bonds still have great potentials this year. In the midst of low global interest rates that will still occur next year, bonds still offer more attractive yields. Furthermore, bonds are also suitable as an option for portfolio allocation for customers with conservative, moderate, and aggressive risk profiles.
Correspondingly, mutual funds, bonds, and bancassurance products recorded fee-based income growth, which annually increased by 64% as of December 2020. Looking at the market conditions today and the contribution of fee-based income for investment products to BCA’s total FBI, which continues upward trend, we hope that the wealth management business will grow on the positive side in the future.
