The Bank BCA was inducted into the SRI-KEHATI index constituency list for the period of December 2020 to May 2021 in recognition of its commitment, as announced by the Indonesia Stock Exchange on Tuesday (24/11).
The assessment submitted by the Indonesian Biodiversity Foundation (KEHATI) confirms that the inclusion of BCA in the Sustainable and Responsible Investment (SRI) KEHATI Index is a testament of the company’s commitment to implementing sustainable management principles that focus on environmental, social and good corporate governance. BCA has been inducted into the SRI-KEHATI index since 2009.
“The SRI-KEHATI index is an important indicator of a company’s commitment to sustainable management practices, vitally concerned about the environmental conservation and sustainable development in Indonesia. This is a particularly important milestone for BCA and all stakeholders and is also a crucial measure for investors in capital market to make a positive impact on the business and the Indonesian people in a sustainable manner,” said Vera Eve Lim, Director of BCA.
For your information, the SRI-KEHATI index continuously reviews the stock price performance of 25 listed companies that have performed well in Sustainable and Responsible Investment (SRI). The KEHATI Foundation has established strategic alliances with various parties, both the government and corporations, to embrace and create a platform for businesses to participate in the preservation of biodiversity and sustainable development efforts.
One of these strategic partnerships is to develop assessment tools for green investments through various index initiatives such as Reksadana Kehati Lestari (RDKL), ETF SRI-KEHATI, and Sustainable and Responsible Investment Index (SRI) KEHATI. Together with 25 other companies, in collaboration with the JSE, BCA is listed in the SRI-KEHATI Index.
