Jakarta, 10 July 2020 – One of the efforts of PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) in supporting the government to restore national economy is by becoming a distribution partner of government bonds retail series ORI017. The online purchase of ORI017 through KlikBCA and the BCA’s wealth management (Welma) app recorded a remarkable sale worth Rp4.5 trillion.
Senior Executive Vice President of Wealth Management BCA Christine Setyabudhi said that the overall sales of ORI017 increased by more than 100% at BCA compared to other bonds such as ORI01 and SR012. As of July 9, 2020, the company recorded ORI017 bookings at BCA are made up of 75% transactions via KlikBCA Individu and 25% via Welma, in which ORI017 sales made via Welma set a record for the company’s weath management applications with transactions above Rp1 tn. It shows that Welma, a new application with downloads of nearly 40 thousand via Google Play Store & App Store and transaction value of more than Rp1.5 tn, was well received and provides solutions for BCA customers.
Christine added, we observe that the high demand for ORI017 is based on the consumer pattern that is prone to switch to a more conservative instrument amid the covid-19 pandemic. It is hoped that BCA’s contribution in ORI107 sales will help drive and restore the wheels of national economy in the midst of the ongoing process towards the new normal.
