BCA Berbagi Ilmu Supports Widya Mandala Surabaya Catholic University Students in Preparing for Global Economic Challenges

Surabaya, 25 August 2025 – PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) once again held its BCA Berbagi Ilmu (BBI) program at Widya Mandala Surabaya Catholic University on Monday (25/8). This event marked the sixth BBI program held throughout 2025. As one of the flagship initiatives under the Bakti BCA, BBI takes the form of public lectures delivered by BCA's executive board members, aimed at equipping students with the skills needed to tackle the challenges of the professional world.

BBI at Widya Mandala Surabaya Catholic University was attended by more than 1,000 students from various departments. This public lecture was delivered by BCA Director Haryanto T. Budiman, who spoke on the theme of “How to Get Yourself Prepared in the New Economic Order.” Through this topic, students were encouraged to equip themselves with relevant and impactful leadership skills to face challenges in the professional world.

BCA Director Haryanto T. Budiman said, "In facing the new economic order, the younger generation needs more than just theoretical knowledge or academic books. They need to equip themselves with critical thinking skills, the ability to identify opportunities, leadership qualities, and the flexibility to adapt. As a national bank, BCA recognizes the importance of supporting students so that they can improve their competitiveness and be ready to face the future."

Changes in the global economic order, technological advances, including artificial intelligence (AI), and increasingly competitive labor market dynamics require the younger generation to be more adaptive and visionary. This public lecture is designed to help students understand the changing economic landscape while shaping relevant leadership characteristics to prepare them to face challenges in the new era.

“BCA Berbagi Ilmu was held as a forum for students to gain practical insights from the industrial world. We hope that BCA Berbagi Ilmu can serve as a bridge between the quality of graduates from higher education and the needs of the professional world. This public lecture is designed to help students face the challenging professional work while taking advantage of existing opportunities,” said Haryanto.

BCA understands that education plays an important role in encouraging students to develop themselves beyond the academic realm. Through BCA Berbagi Ilmu, we support the Indonesia Emas 2045 vision by equipping the younger generation with relevant soft skills. This initiative is a form of BCA’s contribution to improving human resource capacity through collaboration with a number of educational institutions.

Throughout 2025, BCA Berbagi Ilmu has visited a number of universities in Indonesia and reached more than 3,700 students. Through this program, BCA continues to strive to expand the capacity of the younger generation in facing real-world challenges.

In addition to the BBI, as consistent support, BCA also presents the “Genera-Z Berbakti” program under the Bakti BCA. This program involves students in community service through funding, mentoring, and scientific publication support.

In addition to presenting the Genera-Z Berbakti program, BCA consistently implements various sustainable initiatives that have a social impact through the Bakti BCA program. These various initiatives are based on the belief that empowered individuals can empower their communities and contribute to the preservation of the ecosystem, creating a sustainable cycle of positive impact. The Bakti BCA program covers various fields, including education (Bakti Pendidikan), health (Bakti Kesehatan), cultural preservation (Bakti Budaya), community empowerment (Desa Bakti BCA), and environmental conservation (Bakti Lingkungan).
