People's Festival at Prambanan! “Gebyar BCA Merah Putih: Indonesia Banget!” Draws Over 10,000 Visitors

Yogyakarta, 29 August 2024 - More than 10,000 visitors crowded the Pasar Kangen at “Gebyar BCA Merah Putih: Indonesia Banget!” during August 22 - 24, 2024, in Prambanan Temple complex, Yogyakarta. The final day of the event, Saturday (24/8), marked the peak of excitement, with long lines of buyers causing various food and beverage stalls to sell out before the event finished.

The crowd density happens in almost every stall in Pasar Kangen. Among the 60 local MSMEs participating, such as Leker Noto Kangen, Sate Kronyos, Semprong Atri, Es Goyang Jadoel, Dawet Ireng, and others, were packed with visitors until creating queues. This highlighted the public's interest and enthusiasm for traditional snacks.

The high enthusiasm of visitors for purchasing various traditional foods at Pasar Kangen led many stall owners to restock their products. The MSME owners expressed their happiness at being facilitated by BCA to sell their products at the “Gebyar BCA Merah Putih: Indonesia Banget!”.

Presented by Bakti BCA, Pasar Kangen presence in the “Gebyar BCA Merah Putih: Indonesia Banget!”, is a real form of BCA's commitment to preserving and nurturing Indonesian culture, particularly in the culinary field. Through this event, the public can enrich their culinary experiences and knowledge, allowing them to better appreciate and love their cultural products.

“Gebyar BCA Merah Putih: Indonesia Banget!” event was held for the first time as part of the celebration of Indonesia's 79th Independence Day. Through this activity, BCA showcased various local MSME potentials by collaborating with Pasar Kangen, under Ong Hari Wahyu.

"We appreciate the collaboration with BCA and see the same mission in creating a sustainable positive impact on society, especially local MSMEs. This is our second collaboration with BCA. This partnership also proves that we take pride in Indonesian-made products," said Ong, who is known as Pak Ong.

The mount visitors, particularly at the peak of the event on Saturday (24/8), were also caused by the enthusiasm to watch performances by several well-known local artists, such as Ririn Sinden Gemoy, Jogja Hip Hop Foundation, and Bravesboy.

The musical show titled “Nusantara: Jiwa Surga Khatulistiwa” at the Ramayana Ballet Prambanan also became an attraction for people to visit. This performance featured various traditional dances, songs, and music from different regions. It also included special appearances by Bakti BCA Ambassador Nicholas Saputra, Puteri Indonesia 2024 Harashta Haifa Zahra, and MALIQ & D'Essentials.

Much like the public's enthusiasm at Pasar Kangen, the art and cultural performances were also packed with visitors who stayed to watch until the end. They sang and danced along, joining in the excitement that continued into the night.
