Presenting BCA UMKM Pride 2024, BCA Provides a Platform for UMKM Growth

Jakarta, 1 June 2024 - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) affirms its commitment to support the development of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) by holding BCA UMKM Pride 2024. The event will be held on April 22 - July 12, 2024 at the BCA Banking Hall KCU Semarang. Through this event, BCA provides space for MSME customers and debtors to continue to develop their markets and meet fellow MSME sellers.

BCA Region II Head Widjaja Stephen, BCA Region II Head of Business Development Ristiana Dame Pulungan, BCA Semarang Main Branch Office Head Hendrik Satya Nugraha, and BCA Transaction Banking Functional Office Head Budi Rahardjo attended the opening of BCA UMKM Pride 2024 at BCA Banking Hall KCU Semarang.

“BCA UMKM Pride 2024 is the continuation of BCA UMKM Go Export 2024 program that aims to facilitate MSME sellers to excel and compete in the market. This activity also promotes the BCA Go Export 2024 MSME Program and MSME products to other BCA customers and a forum for MSME supporters who attended the event,” said Head of BCA Region II Office Widjaja Stephen.

BCA UMKM Pride 2024 was celebrated by 6 leading MSMEs from the fashion, art, and handicraft sectors. Some of the brands that attended this event included Louis Buddies, Mamasoul, Rattan Supplier, Puteri Batik, Cand's Craft, Kamipurun. This event is divided into 6 batches with a new rotation of MSMEs every two weeks. Exciting prizes await the first 18 transactions with a minimum transaction of Rp100,000. In addition, BCA also facilitates transactions by providing QRIS or MDR payment services, as well as other financing needs.

Even more special, BCA also encouraged women's empowerment by presenting 4 MSMEs managed by women. Two of them are BCA-assisted MSMEs since September 2023, namely Mamasoul and Kamipurun. Mamasoul is here to provide elegant yet affordable women's shoe product options and Kamipurun presents superior skincare products and health drinks with natural ingredients.

“We realize that Indonesian MSMEs have great potential in the international market. Therefore, we strive to support the needs of MSMEs by increasing their capacity and capability. Hopefully, this activity can have a positive impact on the progress of Indonesian MSMEs and other MSME players can participate in the UMKM BCA Go Export 2024,” concluded Widjaja.

As a manifestation of the company's commitment to the development of MSMEs in Indonesia, BCA has realized various initiatives to support MSME's growth. Some of these include facilitating 10 selected MSMEs to participate in the Trade Expo Indonesia held by the Ministry of Trade in 2023, helping to issue more than 1,000 free halal certificates for MSME activists in various regions, and holding UMKM

Fest which was attended by more than 1,400 MSMEs from all over Indonesia as a forum to bring together MSMEs with business people, as well as helping market products online and offline. As of March 2024, BCA recorded lending to MSMEs reaching Rp117.7 trillion.
