Jakarta, 8 July 2023 - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk. (BCA) participated in the Festival Indonesia: Pesta Anak Bangsa held on 8th to 9th July 2023 at Plaza Tenggara Senayan. The presence of BCA and its partner establishments is a tangible manifestation of their commitment to empowering the micro, small, and medium enterprises (UMKM) sector and supporting the National Movement of Bangga Buatan Indonesia.
Festival Indonesia: Pesta Anak Bangsa is an event that combines music, culinary delights, fashion, and showcases over 170 booths of Indonesian micro, small, and medium enterprises (UMKM), with 20 of them are BCA Banga Lokal UMKM. Through this event, BCA supports the growth and development of local UMKM within an increasingly competitive business environment.
EVP Transaction Banking Business Development of BCA, I Ketut Alam Wangsawijaya, stated, "BCA and the Festival Indonesia: Pesta Anak Bangsa share the same vision of supporting UMKM to continue growing and producing outstanding local products. BCA's support for UMKM through the Festival Indonesia: Pesta Anak Bangsa is a tangible manifestation of our commitment to empowering the UMKM sector, which is a crucial pillar in the national economy."
One form of support provided by BCA during the Festival Indonesia: Pesta Anak Bangsa is a cashback promotion of up to Rp 50,000 for transactions at all UMKM booths using BCA's QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard) through the myBCA app, BCA mobile, or Sakuku during the event period from 8th to 9th July 2023. Visitors simply need to exchange their transaction receipts at the BCA booth available in the exhibition area to receive the cashback.
"We hope that this festival can be enjoyed by various segments of society and further enhance their love for various local products. With the cashback promotion that BCA offers, we also hope that it will encourage visitors to purchase UMKM products. On the other hand, these merchants, who are BCA's fostered UMKM, are also a testament to our commitment to continuously provide guidance and empowerment to local businesses," said Ketut.
BCA has been developing the BCA Bangga Lokal program since November 2020. BCA assists curated local entrepreneurs by providing them with communication exposure, education, and opportunities for working capital financing. BCA also offers development programs through webinars covering relevant business topics, collaborations between local entrepreneurs and creators for the development of new products, and coaching clinics.
"BCA fully supports the role of UMKM in boosting the Indonesian economy. We hope that through this event, BCA can provide the motivation and inspiration for UMKM to further develop their businesses," concluded Ketut.
