Jakarta, 29 December 2017– PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) continues its commitment to support government efforts to help accelerate the construction of infrastructure in various areas in Indonesia. The commitment is realized by disbursing a syndicated loan to PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) to ensure the smooth construction project of an integrated Light Rail Transit(LRT) in Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, and Bekasi (Jabodebek).
Attending the signing of Jabodebek Light Rail Transit (LRT) Syndicated Loan Agreement was Director of BCA Rudy Susanto and President Director of KAI Edi Sukmoro, witnessed by Deputy President Director of BCA Eugene K. Galbraith, Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati, and Coordinating Minister of Maritime Affairs Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan in Jakarta, Friday (29/12). Through this cooperation, BCA disburses a syndicated loan worth Rp2.78 trillion for the Jabodebek Light Rail Transit (LRT) of the total ceiling of Rp 18.1 trillion for investment loan and Rp 1.5 trillion for working capital loan.
“We always consider any available opportunity related to the syndicated project. Through the participation of BCA to distribute the syndicated loan, it is expected that the operational target of Jabodebek LRT in 2019 can be achieved,” said Rudy.
Rudy said that BCA’s involvement is based on people’s need for safe and secure mass transportation. Furthermore, BCA observes that investment in infrastructure can contribute to a positive national economic growth in the future. “BCA’s active contribution to finance this infrastructure project is expected to boost development in Indonesia and boost the nation’s long-term economic growth,” Rudy concluded
