Jakarta, 27 December 2017– PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) continues its commitment to support government efforts in making breakthroughs in infrastructure development in Indonesia, especially through the Trans Sumatera toll project. BCA realizes its commitment by disbursing syndicated loan in the amount of Rp1.5 trillion to PT Hutama Karya as State Owned Enterprises in Indonesia assigned by the government to develop the Trans Sumatera’s Bakauheni –Terbanggi Besar toll project.
The signing of the Toll Road Syndication Agreement was performed by Director of BCA Suwignyo Budiman and Director of Finance of PT Hutama Karya Anis Anjayani in Jakarta, Wednesday (27/12). Together with other banking institutions, the Bank BCA disburses a syndicated loan worth Rp 8.07 billion to PT Hutama of total ceiling of Rp 15.59 trillion.
The Bakauheni – Terbanggi Besar toll project was declared a priority section and constituted National Strategic Project. This section is set to be the main road to and from Bakauheni Port, one of the main inter-regional points that connects Java and Sumatera. The Bakauheni – Terbanggi Besar section is set along 140.94 km. The construction of the section is expected to finish and operate in 2019.
BCA’s contribution in the syndicated loan is evidence of BCA’s commitment to achieve its corporate vision to become Indonesia’s leading bank of choice, with an essential role in becoming the main pillar of Indonesia’s economy. “We hope the support BCA provides can contribute to the development of long-term infrastructure in Indonesia and support the improvement of the national economy,” said Suwignyo.
Thus far, BCA’s total loan amount (outstanding) for infrastructure has reached Rp 23.5 trillion, which include the construction of toll roads, electricity infrastructure, railways, airports, telecommunications, as well as projects related to water and sanitation.
