Jakarta, 3 November 2017 – PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) proves its commitment to support government programs to boost the distribution of People Business Credit Program (KUR) across all levels of society. The commitment is demonstrated by the signing of a memorandum of understanding between BCA and PT ECart Webportal Indonesia (Lazada Indonesia) for the provision of credit facilities for Lazada sellers.
The MoU was signed by Liston Nainggolan and Daniel Darmawan as Executive Vice President and Senior Vice President of BCA and Chief Financial Officer Lazada Indonesia Sandy Permadi and Head of Seller Training and Services of Lazada Indonesia Felicia Natalie Wijaya, witnessed by Executive Vice President of BCA Haryono Wongsonegoro and Senior Vice President of BCA Djunaidi Arifien as well as Seller Service of Lazada Indonesia Sintowati and Legal Counsel of Lazada Indonesia Rathia Kamala in Jakarta, Friday (03/11).
With the MoU, Lazada sellers can apply for credit facilities through “Loan Fund” feature available on the Lazada University landing page. A Micro KUR will be provided in the form of working capital credit and/or investment in Rupiah currency with maximum credit limit of Rp 25 million, while BCA may still facilitate Seller’s needs should they require other facilities beside the KUR. “The fund is expected to provide benefits for Lazada sellers to explore deeperpotentials in order to provide value added to the community. The support is a proof of commitment mandated by the Government related to the distribution of People’s Business Credit,” said Liston.
As the largest e-commerce platform in Indonesia, Lazada has more than 50,000 sellers that can potentially utilize the KUR and other credit facilities from BCA. Chief Financial Officer of Lazada Indonesia Sandy Permadi said, “We run various programs to help sellers, especially Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) in order to develop and upgrade their online businesses in our marketplace. Through the program #UpGradeUKM, this year, we have involved more than 2,000 UMKM in 11 cities in order to have a capability to develop their online businesses, the same program we will continue next year.”
“In addition to the need for the ability to grow the online business, MSME also requires to access extra capital. For that we welcome cooperation with BCA, and we hope our sellers can immediately utilize this credit facility to increase their production and sales capacity, especially with this year Online Revolution Month dan Harbolnas is getting closer,” added Sandy.
BCA itself continues to encourage the distribution of People Business Credit, namely by establishing partnership with BCA partners who have a business network for the distribution. Previously, BCA signed a Cooperative Agreement of People Business Business Credit to MSME partner PT Perisai Wisata Utama, a company engaged in the development of tourist destinations in 2016.
The various partnerships that have encouraged the distribution of KUR as of 30 September 2017, BCA managed to distribute Micro KUR worth Rp 5.4 billion and Rp 57.9 billion of Retail KUR. “We are aware of the demand to synergize with all parties in an effort to present as a financial solution for all types of needs. The partnership is certainly in line with our mission to always be By Your Side,” Liston concluded.
