BCA Wins an Award at Good Governance Award 2018

Jakarta, 19 December 2018 - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) is always committed to implementing good corporate governance in order to carry out corporate’s vision and values. Its good corporate governance has led BCA to become the people’s bank in realizing a healthy business behavior.

BCA won the Most Trusted Companies title at the Good Corporate Governance Award 2018, an awarding event organized by SWA Magazine together with Indonesia Institute for Corporate Governance (IICG). The award was given to Executive Vice President of Compliance of BCA Arif Singgih in Jakarta (19/12).

Arif Singgih explained that the foundation and good corporate governance are fundamental in order to win public trust, especially for stakeholders, who deal directly with the company. The implementation of the corporate’s vision and mission to gain public trust is increasingly reflected in the policies that were being implemented. As it has been implemented by BCA, which consistently strives to maintain the trust of the customers, shareholders, and other stakeholders by upholding good corporate governance implemented by all BCA directors and employees to create value for stakeholders and realize long-term corporate sustainability.

“For 61 years, BCA has always been consistent in carrying out the corporate’s values to increase public trust and generate positive financial and business performance. In the midst of technological developments and new emerging competitors in the financial sector, we continue to pay attention to quality of each products and services we offer to the public,” added Arif Singgih.  

Under the theme of “Business Model Transformation in Good Corporate Governance”, the assessment made is adapted to the dynamics of the industrial and business world that face a number of challenges and opportunities of technological developments and consumer behavior, which require companies to adapt and integrate in facing these dynamics. The assessment itself is based on three aspects, namely governance outcome (output, outcome, impact), governance process (system and mechanism), and governance structure (structure and policies).

This award adds the various awards that BCA have achieved during 2018. Any achievements that have been achieved can be a motivation to continuously provide the best work such as service excellence to loyal customers. “In the future, the entire management of BCA hopes that these achievements will become a catalyst to build and provide the best service to the loyal customers of BCA,” Arif Singgih concluded.

The award is organized by Majalah SWA in collaboration with Indonesia Institute for Corporate Governance (IICG), which was determined based on the Corporate Governance Perception Index (CGPI), given to institutions that have successfully adapted and integrated good corporate governance principles to create value for stakeholders and realize corporate sustainability.
