These efforts and hard work of BCA have led to positive results, where BCA came up top on the BrandZ Indonesian Top Most Valuable Brands 2018 and become the first Indonesian brand to feature in the global ranking, taking the 99th spot of the BrandZ Global Top 100.
Attending the Discussion Panel and Awards Night in Jakarta, Wednesday (24/10), were Director of BCA Santoso, Minister of Communication and Information Technology of the Republic of Indonesia Rudiantara, Chairman iflix Indonesia Alexander Rusli, CEO of Telkom Telstra Erik Meijer, Representative of Kantar Adrian Gonzalez, and Representative of WPP Ranjana Singh.
"This year is the fourth year of BCA snagging the top rank at the BrandZ Indonesian Top 50 Most Valuable Brands 2018. Named the most popular brand has bring unbridled happiness to BCA as the company’s efforts to build a reputation for being accessible and also the implementation of digital transformation in the provision of financial services to the wider community,” explained Santoso.
Santoso added that in the midst of digital development that begins to penetrate into all fields, BCA simply never stops exploring the needs of the society. Therefore, we pursue sophisticated information technology and data accuracy in order to provide a measured, precise and accurate service for the customers. “Not only that, BCA also has a high concern for quality for every product and service it offers. Service quality is one of our priorities in developing services to BCA loyal customers,” added Santoso.
It was recorded that in 2018, the BCA’s brand value has grown by 20.2% to $12.7 Billion. The year 2018 marks the fourth year of BCA to win the title of the Indonesian Top 50 Most Valuable Brands. In 2017, BCA’s brand value increased by 13% to US$ 10.53 billion or equal to Rp136.5 trillion.
Millward Brown collected 50 brands with highest brand value in Indonesia through The BrandZTM Top 50 Most Valuable Indonesian Brands 2018. The 50 companies were selected based on research conducted by combining the financial value created by a brand and brand contribution. Based on the assessment results, in 2018, BCA brand value reached $12.7 billion, putting it on track to become the only Indonesian brand to enter the Global Top 100 BrandZ, taking the 99th spot.
For BCA, achieving the highest brand value is a result of positive performance. BCA closed the first semester of 2018 with a net profit growth of 8.4% YoY to Rp11.4 trillion from Rp10.5 trillion in the same period last year. The Bank BCA’s operating income, defined as combined net interest and non-interest income, grew by 7.6% to Rp29.5 trillion during the first semester of 2018 compared to Rp27.4 trillion in the first semester of 2017.
