Semarang, 16 March 2019 – PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) continues its commitment to care for the public welfare, such as ensuring welfare in the health sector, including children health and welfare. Therefore, BCA organizes health education for children at three schools at Dusun Sirap, Kelurahan Village, Jambu Sub-district, Semarang Regency.
Attending to open the health education program was Chief Operating Officer of BCA Regional Office II Tjia Irawan with Head of Kelurahan Village Suparno, Representative of Puskesmas Jambu Sub-District Susanti, and Representative of Headmaster of SD Negeri Isdiman Widyastuti at Kelurahan Village, Semarang, Saturday (16/03). More than 240 students from three schools; PAUD Kasih Bunda, TK Dharma Wanita, and SD Negeri Isdiman along with the teachers attending the health education.
“Healthy lifestyle allows people to go on living productively. This is important, especially for children’s growth. Because a healthy body can lead to a healthy mind. We want to instill the importance of health for Indonesian children from an early age. Therefore, the health education BCA initiated and conducted today is expected to realize a healthy generation that is smart and creative,” explained Tjia.
Last February, the Bank BCA celebrated its 62nd anniversary. BCA used the momentum to celebrate it with the public, one of which was manifested in a health education program for children in Dusun Sirap, Kelurahan Village, Jambu Sub-district, Semarang Regency. This time, it focuses on three topic discussions, namely food and health (4 sehat 5 sempurna program), personal health and dental health.
What’s even more special was that the speakers are the recipients of the Bakti BCA Scholarship 2018-2019 from the Faculty of Public Health of Diponegoro University.
In addition to that, the CSR Bakti BCA also submitted donations to the three schools. For PAUD Kasih Bunda, BCA donated one TV unit, story books, and other books about food and health, physical health and sports, and sports equipment tailored to children’s needs, and hand washing facility.
As for TK Dharma Wanita, BCA donated a set of speakers, story books and other books about food and health, physical health and sports, and sports equipment tailored to kindergarten’s students, and hand washing facility. And for SD Negeri Isdiman, BCA donated story books and other books about food and health, physical health and sports, and sports equipment tailored to kindergarten’s students, and hand washing facility.
“Health is wealth. The health education we organized for the children of Dusun Sirap, Kelurahan Village, Jambu Sub-district, Semarang Regency is very simple, but we believe that they must be nurtured early. Because children who develop good habits that can make a lasting impact on their lives. We hope that what we do today can provide a positive impact on the growth of the Indonesian children. And we are committed to organize such educational program in other places all across the nation,” Tjia concluded.
In addition to conducting health education, in 2018, BCA through its Prime Business Solution Program, organized a Service Excellence training to 40 operators of farmers association of Dusun Kopi Sirap at The Wujil Resort.
