Consistently Supporting MSME Progress, BCA Supports Indonesian Creative Works - Lombok Exoticism Program

Lombok, 4 March 2021 - To show the consistency and support for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), BCA again supports the government's program titled Indonesian Creative Works - Lombok Exoticism in order to support the National Movement to be Proud of Indonesian Products, which this time is focused on leading MSMEs in the province of West Nusa Tenggara.

The launching ceremony for Indonesian Creative Works - Lombok Exoticism was located on Mandalika Beach. Governor of Bank Indonesia, Perry Warjiyo, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Luhut B. Pandjaitan, Minister of Communication and Information, Johnny G. Plate, Minister of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises, Teten Masduki, Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno, Governor of NTB, Zulkiflimansyah, President Director of BCA Jahja Setiaatmadja and EVP of Transaction Banking Business Development BCA I Ketut Alam Wangsawijaya were present virtually. Meanwhile, the Head of BCA KCU Cakranegara-Mataram Indrawanto Sahama and 50 leading MSME players from NTB attended the event directly while adhering to health protocols on Wednesday (3/3).

“BCA is proud to be a part of the National Movement to be Proud of Indonesian Products 2021. This is in line with our commitment to increasing national economic growth, particularly through the MSME sector. We hope this movement can encourage people to love, develop, and increase the added value of local products and be proud of those made in Indonesia," said Jahja.

The program initiated by Bank Indonesia this time has the theme "Indonesian Creative Works - Lombok Exoticism." BCA contributed to the success of the National Movement to be Proud of Indonesian Products series of activities by providing training and mentoring to 20 leading MSMEs in the NTB region to join the Local Proud program, as well as assisting marketing programs through e-commerce sites by providing discounted prices. BCA also provides promotional facilities for UKMN at BCA branch offices in the NTB area.

In line with the National Movement to be Proud of Indonesian Products, BCA has developed Bangga Lokal program at the end of 2020. Bangga Lokal program has brought together more than 200 merchants consisting of health & beauty, fashion, food & beverage as well as hobbies & activities merchants. Bangga Lokal Program will also continue in 2021 by bringing other local brands.

Concretely, BCA provides assistance to SMEs by helping to curate SME products so that they can be promoted through promotional and communication programs, so as to increase awareness and sales; assist the process of preparing MSMEs for onboarding in e-commerce and digital-based sales platforms that make it easier for consumers to access MSME products; as well as assist the business development process through credit facilities for those who qualify and electronic payment infrastructure (QRIS and EDC).

“We hope that the series of National Movement to be Proud of Indonesian Products can have a positive impact, not only on BCA but also on the people of Indonesia. Hopefully this program can encourage the revival of Indonesian local products," concluded Jahja.
