Help Us Report Scammers Impersonating BCA!

Recently, there were frauds impersonating BCA, from fake social media accounts to fake advertisements in search engines. Help us report them to prevent others get scammed. Check out how to report it below!  

Remember! BCA’s official social media accounts are verified accounts. Check out more information here

Instagram

If you are found or contacted by fake accounts claiming to be BCA on Instagram, do not respond and immediately report the account!

Follow these steps.

  1. Open the fake account’s profile and click the three dots on the top right of the page
  2. Select “Report”
  3. Select “Report account”
  4. Select “It's pretending to be someone else”
  5. Select “A business or organization”
  6. When the “Which celebrity are they pretending to be?” question pops up, type in BCA’s official account @goodlifebca
  7. Select “Submit report”
  8. You will get a notification that the report has been received by Instagram

Facebook

Have you ever seen or been contacted by fake accounts claiming to be BCA on Facebook? Let’s report that account!

Here’s how.

  1. Enter the fake account’s Profile page and click the three dots icon
  2. Select "Find support or report profile"
  3. Select "Pretending to be someone"
  4. Select "Celebrity" kemudian klik "Next"
  5. Type in BCA’s official account
  6. Select "Next"
  7. Your report has been received!

WhatsApp

If there was an unknown number contacting you via WhatsApp and claimed to be BCA, quickly report and block the number.

These are the steps.

  1. Click the contact number on the top of the screen
  2. Scroll your screen to the bottom and press “Report Contact”
  3. Select Report and Block

Twitter

Anyone can report accounts claiming to be BCA or Halo BCA, especially if they ask for your personal data. If you received a tweet or direct message from BCA or Halo BCA fake accounts, report them.

Here’s how.

  1. Open the fake account’s profile and click the three dots icon on the top right of the page
  2. Select “Report”
  3. Select “They’re pretending to be me or someone else”
  4. For the “Who is being impersonated” question, select “Someone else” and type in BCA and Halo BCA’s official Twitter such as “@BankBCA” or “@HaloBCA” with the blue verified badge on the right
  5. Select “Send report to Twitter”
  6. You can then choose to “Block” the account to prevent them from approaching or giving you false information

Google Search

When you search on Google for information related to BCA, such as BCA call center numbers, you sometimes encounter ads looking like they are from BCA or Halo BCA, but the information is fake. For example, the website is not bca.co.id, the Halo BCA number stated is not 1500888 or the WhatsApp number is not 08111500998. If you see fake ads like these, you should report it.

Here’s how to report it.

  1. Click the small “i” circle button on the top right of the ads
  2. Click “Why this ad”
  3. Select “Report this ad”
  4. Select “An ad violates other Google Ads Policy”

TikTok

BCA has a verified official TikTok with a blue check mark, namely @BankBCA. If you found other accounts impersonating BCA on TikTok, immediately report those accounts.  

  1. Enter the fake account’s profile page and click the three dots icon on the top right
  2. Select “Report”
  3. Select “Report Account”
  4. Select “Pretending to Be Someone”
  5. Select “Celebrity”
  6. Type in BCA’s official account “@BankBCA”
  7. Click “Submit”
  8. Your report should be received by TikTok

Telegram

You might be invited to join a group on Telegram claiming to be BCA. In fact, BCA does not have a Telegram account. If you experienced this, immediately report the account/group.  

Here’s how.

  1. Enter the group and click on the group’s name
  2. Click the three dots icon on the top right
  3. Select “Report”
  4. Select “Fake Account” or “Others”
  5. Add a description, such as “Investment scam” and click “Report”
  6. After you submit a report, you will see a “Thank You” displayed on the bottom
