Children are the nation’s future generation. Therefore, character development and education is crucial at an early age. Unicef Indonesia supports these needs through the Early Childhood Development Program (PAUD) aimed at preparing the younger generation to their maximum potential.
Unfortunately, the public’s awareness regarding PAUD is relatively low. Data reveals that over one third of 32 million of children aged 0 – 6 years old do not participate in the PAUD program. as an educational foundation, PAUD can increase children’s participation in education.
Due to its concern with this condition, BCA has donated Rp 151,452,000 to Unicef from its Sukuk Negara Ritel SR-005 (the Islamic equivalent of bonds) where for all purchases of Sukuk Negara Ritel SR-005 in the primary market worth Rp 5,000 and its multiple, BCA will donate Rp 1,000 for the PAUD program.
"Through this program, customers will be able to invest in and give donations for the education sector, especially for the development of this PAUD program," said Herwandi Kuswanto, Head of Wealth Management BCA during the official handover of the donation at the Breakout Area, BCA Tower, on Wednesday (1/5).
